TF2 Trading Hall collects only what it needs to run trades and show you your stuff. We never see your Steam password, and we don't sell your data.
What we collect
- Your SteamID and public Steam profile (persona name and avatar), obtained when you sign in through Steam.
- Your trade-offer URL, if you choose to save it, so you don't have to paste it every time.
- Trade activity with the bot (items, totals, outcomes) and your reward ticket balance.
Usage analytics
We record anonymous, first-party usage analytics- page views, clicks, and how far trades get - so we can see what works and fix what doesn't. It is stored on our own server with no third-party tools, no advertising, and no cross-site tracking; we identify a visit only by a random session id (kept in your browser's session storage, gone when you close the tab) and do not store your IP address. If you're signed in, events are linked to your SteamID so we can measure the trade funnel. Because this data is anonymous and first-party, it doesn't require opt-in - but we disclose it here and in the notice on your first visit. The only cookie we set is the strictly-necessary one that keeps you signed in when you log in with Steam.
How sign-in works
We use Steam OpenID to confirm your identity. Steam handles your login - we never receive or store your Steam password. After sign-in we set a single, integrity-signed session cookie so you stay logged in. That cookie is used only to keep your session; it is not used for advertising or third-party tracking.
How we use it
- To build, price, and send your trade offers.
- To show your inventory value, avatar, and ticket balance.
- To credit and apply reward tickets, and to prevent abuse and fraud.
Where it lives & who can see it
Your data is stored on the same machine that runs the trading bot and is used only to operate this service. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers. Steam (for sign-in and trading) and our network provider (which fronts the site for security and TLS) process requests as part of delivering the service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We keep trade and reward records for as long as needed to operate the loyalty program and resolve disputes, then prune them. You can sign out at any time, which clears your session cookie.
Your choices
- Sign out at any time to end your session.
- Request removal of your saved trade URL or stored data by contacting us via the support page.
Age
This service is intended for users old enough to hold a Steam account in good standing and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
